The same mutation, but in heterozygous state, was detected in the parents. Sequencing of ITGB3 hot spot exons (4, 5 and 11) among GT patients showed no mutation. In conclusion, early diagnosis of VWD and GT patients, using various laboratory investigations, is essential for proper management. Hence, further molecular studies are needed to delineate different mutations of these two diseases.
