The most potent isolate (p4) was:::_:::"-allr- identified by emplifying 165 rRNA gene using pCR =:'::'que' According to inforrnation from the gene bank it was ::r:::r'led as a new strain and coded as Str.eptotllycessp. MER4. S--::rronlyces sp. MER4 was scaled up ard the extract was -1':tiottated by Sephadex LH-20 column wrth a gradient rnobile : -'':-'e DCM: Methanor and by riq,id-riq,id partition using (H2o: *- -'rane: ethanol: n-b,tanor) to yield four fractions (p4-H20, p4- i-{u-r' P4-but and p4-eth). Each singre fi.action was assessed by;:rentrination of antidermatophyic activity using agar_well citnrsion method. The fraction that showed high inhibition ratio :gainst all resred dermatophyres was (p4_eth). (p4_eth) was :'rnher subjected to many instruments to erucidate its structure.
