Physiological and biochemical studies on microbial production of β-mannanase
β-mannanase, fungal, bacterial, Penecillium humicola, RSM
In the present work, physiological and biochemical investigations on some local fungal and bacterial strains were carried out to detect the most potant strains for the production of extracellular β-mannanase enzymes cultures. The result of the investigat indicated that Penecillium humicola was the most potant fungal strains from all the tested microorganisms by producing 8.8 IU/ml. The optimal fermentation conditions for production of β-mannanase enzyme by the selected Penecillium humicola were also investigated by applying one factor at time and statistical design techniques. Partial purification of β-mannanases was tested.
