Phytochemical and biological studies of Boscia angustifolia and Boscia senegalensis
phenolic compounds, LC/ESI/MS, antitumor activity, antiviral activity.
Boscia angustifolia A. Rich. and B. senegalensis (Pers.) Lam. ex Poir. were collected from their natural habitat and subjected to phytochemical analysis. Ten phenolic compounds were isolated and identified from aerial parts of the studied species and identified by different chemical and spectroscopic techniques and confirmed by LC/ESI/MS. The two crude extracts of the studied species and the methanol fractions of Boscia angustifolia were evaluated against three human carcinoma cellline HPG2, MCF7 and HTC, and also subjected to antiviral activity against H5N1, also evaluation of the infraspecific relationship between the studied taxa, the isolated compounds were used to study their chemosystematic significance.
