BOND STRENGTH, SEALING ABILITY AND BIOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR OF NEW ROOT CANAL OBTURATING MATERIALS - A COMPARATIVE STUDY
Activ GP / bond strength / iRoot SP
The aim of the present study was divided into two main parts: Part I: Laboratory study to: 1- Measure the bond strength of different obturating materials (iRoot SP sealer/conventional gutta percha GP, Activ GP Precision Obturation System and AH Plus sealer/ GP) in single cone versus multiple cones technique using push out test. 2- Assess the apical sealing ability of the previously mentioned obturating materials and techniques (using dye penetration technique with india ink). Part II: Biocompatibility study (animal study) to: Evaluate the biocompatibility of (iRoot SP sealer, Activ GP Precision Obturation System compared to AH Plus sealer) by using subcutaneous implants in rats.
