COST-BENEFIT MANAGEMENT OF REUSED MATERIALS IN LANDSCAPE
leftover spaus , reuseal materials , up-cycled materials , cost-beuefit analysis
Many urban spaces in megacities suffer from fulfilling their function in meeting user needs. This is due to some difficult determinants such as limited resources, lack of potentials, which may affect the space quality, especially in light of the increasing population, the proportion of buildings, and the need for open spaces. At the local level, the situation did not differ much, as many problems can be observed especially in landscape elements (research focus). This is due to several reasons such as: the design process deficiencies, the absence of guidelines for selecting materials, the decline in material reuse and waste management, and inefficiency in utilizing resources. Therefor, the research study aims to formulate guidelines for utilizing reused / recycled materials in landscape elements, in order to enhance the quality of open spaces and the urban environment, with special reference to middle and low income residential spaces. The research discusses the reused landscape issue with special reference to cost and benefit levels, in order to support the decision-making process, by achieving a positive impact on the social, economic, urban and environmental levels, through achieving sustainability.
