bubalus babals. River Buffaloes. egtptian breed, toll-like receptors endometnte, polymer phisms. gene expression
Characterization of some innate immune genes associated with endometritis in river buffaloes. To achieve this aim the following steps were done : 1. Characterization of Toll-like receptors 2 and 4 genes in healthy and diseased uterine tissues of river buffalo Egyptian breed without and with endometritis. 2. Screening for single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in TLR2 and TLR4 genes and evaluating the association between these SNPs and the occurrence of endometritis in river buffalo Egyptian breed. 3. Linkage Disequilibrium evaluation of TLR2 and TLR4 SNPs in healthy and diseased uterine tissues of river buffalo Egyptian breed without and with endometritis4. Determination of the relation between haplotype frequency of TLR2 and TLR4 SNPs and occurrence of endometritis in river buffalo Egyptian breed. 5. Evaluation of the potential impact of non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms (nsSNPs) on protein structure and function due to amino acid substitutions in TLR2 and TLR4 genes in healthy and diseased uterine tissues of river buffalo Egyptian breed without and with endometritis. 6. Characterization of protein domains and architecture of TLR2 and TLR4 genes in healthy and diseased uterine tissues of river buffalo Egyptian breed without and with endometritis. 7. Evaluation of gene expression levels of TLR2 and TLR4 genes in four tissues (liver , ovary, mammary gland and uterus) of river buffalo Egyptian breed without and with endometritis.
