obesity becomes a worldwide epidemic disease as affecting all levels and ages from children to the elderly. obesity is not a cosmetic problem only but also accompanied by various Lifethreatening diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancers and autoimmune diseases.obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health. It causes chronic low inflarhmatory state and also, it leads to an imbalance in the body's protective self-tolerance and creating the optimal condition for autoimmune diseases like autoimmune thyroid diseases predominately subclinical AITD that may proceed to Hashimoto,s and Graves' disease thyroiditis that more coflrmon in females than in males.According to the world Health organization, approximately 35%o of the global community is overweight or obese, and more than ten autoimmune diseases are known to be associated with increased weight. So it's critical to investigate obesity's involvement in the pathology. Leptin, which is adipocytokine involving in regurating body weight and appetite; and also an inflammatory cytokine that rinnvvoollvvee imn aauuttoolimmmmuunnlittyyih,,-*liinnccrreeaassee min oobbeessiiittyy and have a rroollee in the pathogenesis of, autoimmune thyroiditis through its role in breaking the body's protective self-tolerance.
