The present study was carried out in laboratory investigations to evaluate the biological, physiological and biochemical activities of three essential oils geranium, citronella and garlic against selected potatoes pests Ph. operculella, S. littoralis and A. ipsilon. Especial stress has been laid on characterizing and examining the effect of chosen two oils (geranium, garlic) after incorporating them into solid lipid nanoparticles in which their biological effect in bulk form and in nano-formulation form was examined in laboratory, in addition their efficiency and persistence under field conditions was determined in field-laboratory bioassay. Another biotechnological method was examined against A. ipsilon larvae in which two genetically modified potatoes cultivars were planted and their biological and physiological effects against A. ipsilon larvae were determined under laboratory
