THE EFFECT OF OBESITY AND SERUM EOTAXIN LEVEL ON RESPIRATORY FUNCTION TEST AND ASTHMA DEVELOPMENT IN SCHOOL CHILDREN
asmma, Obesitym , eotaxin
Obese children have more respiratory symptoms than their normal weight peers and respiratory related pathology increases with increasing weight. Obesity may be associated with an increase in asthma and atopy in children. Adipose tissue explants secrete eotaxin and stromal /vascular component of adipose tissue seems to be the predominant source of eotaxin .Eotaxin has been shown to be a key chemotactic agent responsible for esinophil-mediated bronchial inflammation in extrinsic or allergic asthma. Circulating eotaxin and eotaxin mRNA levels in visceral adipose tissue were increased in obesity
