Spodoptera littoralis (Boisd.) is a serious pest of cotton and other important plants in Egypt. This thesis studied the UV effect on Spodoptera littoralis nuclear polyhedrosis virus by: evaluating it against Spodoptera littoralis, virus RAPD PCR DNA fingerprint and its investigation under light and electron microscope. The results showed that UV exposure decreased virus concentration, efficacy and OAR. The virus structure and DNA was incompletely damaging
